My Daily Practice II Hips & Back

My Daily Practice II Hips & Back

Hi Friends, How is your body feeling today? Any creeks and stiffness happening? I know how great it feels to move how it feels good, open up some space, and create more room for you to live inside of that vibrant body of yours. I just got back from a fabulous few days in Amsterdam, leading a radiant group in our 2 day Strala Intensive, celebrating the Dutch version of my cookbook launch, and the launch of the spring collaboration with Reebok with a fun class and a day at the office talking about leadership and intuitive business building. It…
Creating a Productive Space

Creating a Productive Space

How does your space make you feel? We use a lot of careful consideration in creating & caring for our Strala Yoga spaces (a topic we cover in trainings & working with companies on wellbeing practices) whether you own your own studio, teach in a gym, park, or are running a meeting in a conference room, how you create & use the space impacts the experience for your guests greatly. Some suggestions we keep in mind. 1. Clutter.Consider the stuff in the room. Is there clutter & furniture you can tidy up & remove to open the space? If there…

The Evolution and Future of Yoga

A friend of ours asked what we thought of a recent article on the future of yoga, written by Krishnamacharya's grandson. He outlined five basic thoughts, I'll share them below. --- Desikachar's thoughts on yoga today 1) Modern yoga lacks holism. WELLth

WELLth

Today our dear friend Jason Wachob's book WELLth lands everywhere. Jason and his wife Colleen have been friends of ours since the early days of Strala. I remember Jason sent Colleen over to the old studio to check us out to make sure we were normal (he read that we were approachable and knew our stuff, but wanted to get the scoop before he stepped on the mat with us). I don't blame him. Jason walked in, all towering 6 feet 7 inches of him, with a history of staggering back pain, and heard we could possibly help. I remember meeting the two of…
